Windows™ Applications Become the Desktop Standard
Procede recognized at the outset that PC's and Windows™ applications would become commonplace in the dealership. Manufacturer's were releasing more and more Windows™ based software, such as "Electronic Catalogs", "Fleet Assistants", "Warranty Claims", etc. Procede chose a development environment based on Microsoft™ development tools and applications to create Windows™ and browser applications.
The Power of Networking
While initially concentrating on the desktop PC, Procede knew the power of the PC related to networking -- connecting PC's together in the dealership and via the Internet to the rest of the world -- to create extremely powerful, flexible systems. We optimized our solutions for Windows™ servers and limiting network bandwidth.
The Internet
The internet has surprised many DMS software vendors - which explains why they have only begun to deliver Windows™ or Browser based software today. We began developing our Browser applications in 1998 and delivered our first to dealerships in 1999. We continue to enhance and expand our Browser solutions today.
