If you’re arriving early or staying a little longer, there’s plenty to see and do in San Diego. Here are a few nearby highlights:

Explore the Gaslamp Quarter

Just outside the PSC, the Gaslamp Quarter is packed with character and ideal for dining and entertainment. A few standout spots in the area include:

  • Born and Raised: A stylish steakhouse with rooftop seating
  • Barleymash: A lively bar and restaurant with upscale pub fare
  • Cafe 21 Gaslamp: Known for farm-to-table plates and creative cocktails
  • The Oceanaire Seafood Room: Excellent for fresh seafood and an upscale atmosphere
  • Moonshine Flats: This vibrant venue with country-western line dancing, live music & DJs offers a full bar & kitchen
  • The Shout! House: Dueling piano bar with live entertainment and a fun atmosphere

Make sure to make reservations early since many of the popular Gaslamp and Little Italy restaurants fill up quickly.

Visit the USS Midway Museum

A short walk from the hotel, this historic aircraft carrier-turned-museum offers a fascinating look at naval aviation history–great for a quick tour or longer afternoon exploration.

Take a Bayfront Walk or Bike Ride

Head out for a Bayfront Walk or Bike Ride along the scenic Embarcadero. The route features public art installations, green spaces, shops, and stunning water views. Want to plan the rest of your day? Visit Seaport Village to discover dining, shopping, experiences, and events.

Hit the Beach

If you’re extending your trip, take advantage of San Diego’s beautiful coastline. Don’t forget to pack layers since San Diego’s coastal breeze can cool things down in the evenings, even after a sunny day.

  • Coronado Beach is just across the bridge and offers wide, sandy shores. Find out more about Hilton San Diego Bayfront’s Complimentary Beach Bus here: Coronado Beach Bus.
  • Pacific Beach and Mission Beach offer a livelier, surf-town vibe.
  • La Jolla Cove is perfect for snorkeling, seal-watching, or enjoying upscale coastal dining.

Eat Like a Local

Don’t leave without trying San Diego’s signature fish tacos or California burritos. For casual, local favorites, try Tacos El Gordo, Lola 55, or Mitch’s Seafood.

Arriving early or staying late? You’ll have plenty of great options to fill your itinerary. Whether you’re here to go deeper into your learning, grow your network, or thrive as a leader in your organization, PSC 2026 in San Diego is your opportunity to do it all.
