Announcing Barcode Scanning v4.2

Barcode Scanning is a mobile solution designed to help dealerships streamline parts and inventory workflows by reducing manual data entry and improving accuracy across receiving, bin management, and parts movement processes. Integrated with Excede, Barcode Scanning enables users to scan part barcodes directly into key workflows, accelerating daily operations while providing greater visibility and control within the Parts department.
By digitizing traditionally manual processes, Barcode Scanning helps dealerships improve efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure inventory data stays accurate and up to date across locations. Key features of Barcode Scanning include:
- The ability to print part labels directly from the scanner while managing bins or receiving parts
- Options to automatically prompt users to print labels when processing orders
- Part mapping functionality within the Bin Management app to support more accurate organization
What’s New in Barcode Scanning v4.2
Barcode Scanning v4.2 introduces a refreshed user experience and a new Transfer Receiving app, designed to simplify and speed up inter-branch parts transfers.
New features and enhancements include:
- Updated UI for improved usability and navigation
- A new Transfer Receiving app that allows users to receive inter-branch parts transfers using a scanner
- Search for incoming transfers by part number or transfer number
- View, scan quantity, and post parts transfer items directly from the app
The Transfer Receiving app introduces a streamlined workflow that allows users to scan a part label on an incoming part to locate it on open transfers. If a part appears on multiple incoming transfers, users are prompted to select the appropriate transfer. Quantities can be adjusted as needed before saving to receive the part on the transfer.
