Reminder: End of Support Notice for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008

Microsoft has announced that they will be discontinuing support of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 on January 14, 2020. From this date onwards, Microsoft will no longer provide software updates, security fixes, and technical support for PCs running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008. While you may continue to use these operating systems on all your PCs running Excede, your system may be more vulnerable to security risks, such as viruses.

Procede Software is a Microsoft Certified Partner and continues to align with current Microsoft technology. We will continue to provide support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 up until January 14, 2020. From January 14, 2020 onwards, we will no longer provide support for PCs running these systems. This applies to all currently supported versions of Excede (v9.18+).

Please note, certain Excede add-ons such as Data Insight, Lease Rental Plus and Time Clock Web App, which currently require Windows Server 2008 R2+, will require Windows Server 2012+ as of January 14, 2020. Certain Certified Partner and OEM integrations that utilize Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 may also be affected by this end of support notice and could have similar end of support terms.

Microsoft has recommended that dealers upgrade to Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012+ prior to January 14, 2020 to avoid being impacted by these changes. We can provide more information upon request and make ourselves available to help discuss your transition to Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012+.
